Fun Apple Tree ABC Match Preschool Printable

One of my favorite themes once school starts is apples. We have already had lots of apple fun, but I decided to make this Fun Apple Tree ABC Match Preschool Printable for my daughter to practice matching her uppercase and lowercase letters. We have quite the collection of these alphabet match games on the blog now, so if you have a preschooler or toddler working on mastering their alphabet make sure to check them out.

HOW TO USE THE APPLE TREE ABC MATCH PRESCHOOL PRINTABLE

Supplies you will need:
Directions:
1. Print off the Apple Tree ABC Printable.

2. Write the uppercase letters onto your red stickers with your black marker. If you are using the blank version of the printable, customize the labels however you choose. I have listed a few ideas at the bottom of this post.

3. Now your child can remove one sticker at a time, find the correct match on the tree and place the sticker onto the alphabet printable. Continue matching each letter until the tree is full. The great thing about the Avery labels is that they are removable so if your preschooler makes a mistake it's not a big deal to remove the label and put it somewhere else.

I like to engage my preschooler when she is doing this activity by asking her questions like "What letter are you matching?" "What sound does it make?" "Can you think of a word that starts with that letter?" This could also be used a quiet time activity for preschoolers who are more prepared to complete it on their own with little assistance.

If you use the Customizable Blank Version of the Apple Tree ABC Printable, you can customize it in many different ways. Here are a few ideas:
  • Write the uppercase letters in the printable and on the stickers and concentrate on only uppercase letters.
  • Use the alphabet printable for preschoolers with a letter A theme for "Apple", and write upper and lowercase A’s on the printable and on the stickers for your preschoolers to match.
  • If you are working on name recognition, write the letters in your preschooler’s name inside the apple and on the stickers for matching.
  • Draw different shapes on the printable and on your stickers and have preschoolers practice matching shapes.
