Monster Eyes Counting Game Preschool Printable

Using dice is a simple way for preschoolers to practice counting and learn basic addition and subtraction. We used them in our our recent Pumpkin Candy Addition Activity and my daughter loved it, so I put together another fun preschool math activity for her with a Halloween monster theme. In true monster fashion, we used googly eyes for our counting manipulatives. Colorful No-Carve Owl Pumpkins

We typically carve jack-o-lanterns every year as a Halloween tradition in our family but it's always a bummer that we have to wait until just before Halloween for the activity to avoid them spoiling on the front porch. A great alternative that can be enjoyed all month long is no-carve pumpkins. We have been on an owl kick this week and created these colorful no-carve owl pumpkins. Paper Bag Monster Puppets

I love, love when we do a craft that is not only open-ended but is one the entire family can join in on. One of my favorite things in the whole world is making after school snack time extra fun for my kids. I feel like it's in those first few minutes when my kids walk in the door after school that they are open and excited to talk to me about their day. Everything is fresh on their mind and before the unpleasantness of homework begins, I love to sit with them and surround myself in their cuteness while enjoying an after school snack.

Melted Plastic Cup Pumpkins

My daughter's preschool teacher recently made melted plastic cup apples with my daughter's class. I have since decided they are the coolest thing ever! My 4 year old raved about how amazing it was to watch the cup melt in the oven so quickly and I have been eager to experience this awesomeness for myself... So when I found orange plastic cups at the store you better bet I was all over creating melted pumpkins to be just as cool as my daughter's preschool teacher (wink!).

It's been a while since we've made contact paper sticky wall art. Since I've had Halloween on the brain, I came up with this idea to use different materials to create a Frankenstein. My daughter had so much fun and ended up with a unique looking, spooky creature.  

Pumpkin Patch Art

One of my favorite crafts I look forward to this time of year with my kids is making Pumpkin Patch Art. It's become a yearly tradition, along with our Apple and Fall Tree crafts. I felt like I had to get really creative this year because it's our fourth year making pumpkin patch art, but we had a lot of fun coming up with something new and fun!
