How to Make a Cute Bee DIY Teacher Gift Bag

Since the school year is almost over you might be starting to think about fun teacher appreciation gifts to give to your child's teacher to say thank you for a great year. I was looking at some fun yellow party favor bags in my craft closet and decided they would be perfect for holding candy or a gift card for a teacher gift. For a special twist, we turned them into a cute bee DIY teacher gift bag that is super simple to make and is just perfect for a simple candy gift or a gift card. I've also including a printable label that reads Thank you for "BEE-ING "a great teacher to complete this adorable teacher gift.

Heart Stamper Non-Candy Valentine with Printable

My daughter's dance teacher always gives her students a stamp on the hand after class to celebrate a job well done. My daughter adores it! So when I came across these little Valentine's Day stampers recently my heart fluttered with excitement because I knew they would make a perfect non-candy Valentine gift for all of my daughter's preschool classmates. Yesterday we shared how we used them on our 100 Hearts Preschool Math Activity and today I'm showing you how to turn your leftover stampers into these adorable heart stamper non-candy Valentine's. I've included the printable Valentine card to make them even more simple to put together.

Back-to-School Kids Gift after Christmas Break

This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Newell Rubbermaid, but all opinions are my own. #pmedia #stockup4schools http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV

Christmas break was amazing this year! Playing in the snow, spending time at Grandma's house, board games and hot cocoa, going to the movie theater and playing with all of the new Christmas toys... Sadly, it was over all too quickly because school started up again. Can I just say how brutal it was getting my kids up the first day we started back! I watched them begrudgingly eat their breakfast and knew these kids of mine needed some serious motivation to get back into learning mode. Do your kids struggle to get back into the routine of school after Christmas break? This back-to-school kids gift is sure to brighten your child's day and give them the motivation they need to finish the school year out "write".

Back-to-School Kids Gift (with Printable Gift Tag)

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Office Depot. All opinions are 100% mine.

When I was a child my absolute favorite store was Office Depot®. Strange for a child, I know, but I vividly remember walking into the store with my Mom and Dad and being filled with excitement over the distinct smell of paper. I have always loved the smell of paper. Maybe that explains my love of writing and keeping a journal at such a young age and even now. As we walked down the aisles of Office Depot®, the notebook and journal aisle was (of course!) my favorite. I loved holding the bound books in my hands imagining what I could write or draw inside them. Now that I'm an adult I still love Office Depot®, especially when we do our back to school shopping. This year we made out with quite a haul of school supplies for a great price and I even picked out some extra special items for my children as a Back-to-School Kids Gift. I'm excited to share them with you today along with our Printable Gift Tag that you can download and use.

Back-to-School Teacher Gift: Elmer's Glue Stick Wreath

A big thank you to Elmer's for sponsoring today's post! My absolute favorite thing about back to school time is the amazing deals on school supplies. I always feel like a giddy school child as I walk down the aisles mesmerized by all of the bright colors and fun supplies. One item I always make sure to stock up on is Elmer's glue. It's a staple not only in our home but at my children's school too. In fact, every year one of the items at the top of my children's teacher donation wish list is glue sticks. With the fantastic sales going on right now, it's the perfect time to stock up on some extra supplies and put together a back to school teacher gift for your child's teacher. I'm sharing today how we turned some school supplies into a fun Elmer's Glue Stick Wreath.

My daughter and I made this DIY Mother's Day Photo Frame Gift the other day. I added the lettering onto the frame for my daughter but my daughter really did most of the project by herself. It is a perfect gift to give to Grandma for Mother's Day or it would also make a fun Father's Day gift.

Teacher Appreciation Gift Basket

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Dollar General for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

My Mom was an Elementary School Teacher for several years during my childhood. After seeing her dedication and love she had for her students, it has given me extra appreciation for the job and for my son's teachers. I remember how after January hit when the school year was a little more than half way over, her regularly used supplies always started to either show their wear or get dismal. Since we are at that time of the school year now, it's perfect timing to put together a Teacher Appreciation Gift Basket for your child's teacher.

Homemade Grandparent Christmas Gift from Kids

We decided we wanted to make some homemade gifts for Grandparents this year for Christmas and came up with these darling little framed art pictures. We glued magnets on the back of them so they can hang on display on the refrigerator.

I love how the brightly colored frames make the artwork pop out. They are only about 4" x 4" so they are as cute as can be!

My three year old had mostly scribbles to add to her canvases, but they are beautiful and I know Grandparents will love them!
The secret to the fun frames is these Colored Craft Sticks from our friends at Craftprojectideas.com. They come in a pack of 150 sticks and are brightly colored red, green, blue and yellow. You can purchase them at your local Walmart in the arts and crafts section.
To make the frames I hot glued four of the craft sticks together in a square. (*This step needs to be done by an adult since the hot glue can burn children.) Then my kids had fun decorating their frames by gluing sequins all over them.

While the frames were drying, I cut out our canvases out of white cardstock paper. I made them 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" squares. My kids used colored pencils to draw and color to their heart's content and once the frames were dry, I hot glued the artwork to the back of the frame, making sure the picture showed through the front of the frame.

Then I glued a magnet on the back and voila! A beautiful masterpiece perfect for a Grandparent gift...AND perfect for a family on a Christmas budget too! :)  Do you enjoy making homemade gifts for Christmas?

**I received my Colored Craft Sticks for free from Craftprojectideas.com but all opinions expressed are 100% my own.

"Thankful for You" Treat Bags

I have some really good friends in my neighborhood. They are the kind of friends that the thought of ever having to move away would definitely make me cry. I wanted to do a little something special to let them know that I was thankful for them this month so I made these cute little treat bags with the simple message "Thankful for You".

I bought the little yellow chevron bags from Pick Your Plum. I folded a small doily over the top with a 2" yellow circle with "Thankful for You" printed on it. I clipped it together with these Turkey Clothespin Clips I made.

I've started making them every holiday after being inspired by One Artsy Mama. They are so simple! Cover a clothespin with washi tape and add a sticker at the top. For these turkey ones, I found the stickers at the dollar section at Target. I didn't like how they looked with just one turkey sticker, so I doubled them together with a second color showing through the back. I also added a black eye with a dot of black puffy paint and I added more feathers with gold glitter glue. I purchased my washi tape from Pick Your Plum but you can get it at any craft store.

So what did I stuff in my bags? I could have been all extra creative and baked something at home, but I saw these adorable shortbread cookies at Costco and couldn't resist them. Two of them worked perfectly in each bag and then there were still plenty left for my family to not feel left out.  :)

These would work great for preschool or friend treats for your children as well! I know my kids love making the clothespin clips! You can customize any message on the 2" circle or write directly on the doily.
