Dyed Cotton Ball Sheep Craft

How does a sheep get clean? ...He takes a baaaath! My daughter ate a Laffy Taffy with that silly joke on it this afternoon. We giggled at the joke and then smiled at how it coincided perfectly with all of the sheep-themed activities we've been doing this week. This dyed cotton ball sheep craft is our last activity for the week. It's so fluffy and fun and it goes along perfectly with the nursery rhyme Baa, Baa Black Sheep or as a cute Easter or spring craft for kids.

Yarn Wrapped Sheep Craft for Kids

Yarn wrapped crafts have become a favorite at my house these last few months. I love the awesome fine motor work it gives my preschooler with her using her small fingers and muscles to maneuver the yarn around objects and I love how fluffy the yarn makes a finished craft look. If you are looking for a cute spring or Easter craft to make with your kids you are going to love this adorable yarn wrapped sheep craft we are sharing today.

Three Ninja Pigs Craft for Kids

A big thank you to Author Corey Rosen Schwartz for sponsoring today's kid craft post! Two of my children love all things ninja, so much that dressing up like a ninja happens several times a week around my house. It's one reason why we fell in love with The Three Ninja Pigs (affiliate) the instant we read it. Today we are sharing this awesome Three Ninja Pigs Craft that will delight the little ninjas-in-training at your house! Not only is it an awesome craft, but since it has movable arms and legs you can have fun pretend play after making her, helping her to conquer any bad guys that get in your way.

Paper Plate Christmas Elf Craft

Elves are popular characters during the holiday season so it's always fun to get out the crafting materials and make an adorable elf craft with the kids before Christmas. We actually put together this cute paper plate elf craft last year after making our similar Santa Claus craft, but since I didn't get a chance to share it last year before Christmas, I saved it all year and am excited to share it now. Couple this adorable elf craft with a Christmas book for an evening full of family fun!

Paper Plate Chicken Craft for Kids

My daughter chose the book Big Chickens by Leslie Helakoski for a bedtime story a few days ago. It's a fun book about a group of scaredy-cat chickens who are frightened by a wolf. As they run off they end up going on quite the adventure and by the end of their journey they discover their bravery. We decided to make a Paper Plate Chicken Craft for Kids to go along with the silly story.

Paper Bag Frog Puppet with Free Pattern

One of my daughter's favorite books right now is Five Green and Speckled Frogs. She loves singing the song over and over and I thought it would be fun to make an adorable Paper Bag Frog Puppet with her so she can enjoy singing the song with her cute puppet. This post was originally shared on Cooking with Ruthie but I wanted to post the tutorial here too in case you missed it. I've included a free pattern to make this even more simple for you to make with the little ones in your life.

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Kids Craft

It's time for another monthly craft challenge from the Kids Craft Stars. This months challenge was to create a craft based on a popular preschool children's book. If you are regular around here you already know that making crafts based on children's books is one of my absolute favorite things! I have so many favorites that it was difficult to choose which book to use but we decided to create a Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Kids Craft. The craft is not only bright and colorful, but it's a great way for preschoolers to review their alphabet. We also used one of our favorite crafting materials to make it, cupcake liners.

Paper Plate Fish Craft for Kids

I have to give my 4-year old credit for coming up with the idea for this fun Paper Plate Fish Craft. She asked me if she could use a couple things out of my craft closet last week and she ended up getting out a toilet roll and some of my round stickers. She later brought me her creation and she had staggered the stickers around the toilet roll and it reminded me of fish scales. I instantly thought about one of my daughter's new books from her Scholastic book order, so we created this Paper Plate Fish Craft for kids to go along with it.

Cupcake Liner Tulip Kids Craft

I have been loving all of the gorgeous bulbs that have been popping up everywhere in my neighborhood. It reminds me of my favorite spring time book Planting a Rainbow by Lois Ehlert. Every year we love to make a craft to go along with the book. Last year we had so much fun with cupcake liner flowers that I thought I would make another variation of the craft. This time we made a simple and colorful Cupcake Liner Tulip Kids Craft.

Fox Tale Soup Storytelling Bin

My daughter and I have been having lots of fun this past week reading Fox Tale Soup. It's a retelling of the classic tale, Stone Soup. The animal characters in it make it very appealing to preschool age children. It's been quite a long time since we made a sensory bin, so since my daughter enjoyed this story so much, I decided to put together a Fox Tale Soup Storytelling Bin for her to have fun re-telling the story and have free play with all of the materials.

Yarn Pom Flowers Kid Craft with Creatify Products

My husband bought me flowers for Valentine's Day and my daughter has been mesmerized by them. Some of the petals fell off one of the roses and my daughter stashed them in a little heart box next to her bed. After she saw them start to wither she asked me sadly why the flowers wouldn't last forever. Oh how I wished they would last forever for my little girl! But since they won't, we decided to make this Yarn Pom Flowers Craft together that she can set on her nightstand. We used some fabulous new products from Creatify to make our flowers and I'm excited to share them with you today.

We have been having a Dr. Seuss-inspired week! So far we've had fun with The Cat in the Hat and One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish and today I'm sharing one of my absolute favorites, The Lorax. We enjoy the book, but hands down, The Lorax movie has to be one of my kids' all-time favorite movies. Confession...I'm pretty sure I love it as much as my kids too. After reading the book or watching the movie, whip out some colorful cupcake liners and have fun making this adorable Lorax craft.
